ABOUT Ben
Ben Brandes is a seasoned private equity professional with over 25 years of experience helping companies grow, transform, and realize their long-term potential. His work spans investment banking, capital strategy, fund leadership, and board roles — but what Ben values most is being in the trenches with great operators.
Before launching NewOrigin, Ben led three investment funds and managed a portfolio of over $1B in control-oriented private equity investments. He also built and led business development for private equity practices at CrossCountry Consulting, Accordion Partners, and Grant Thornton, forging deep relationships with investors and operators across the U.S.
At NewOrigin, Ben partners with founders who want more than capital — those seeking board-level perspective, strategic support, and relationship-driven help to scale, protect, and evolve their vision.
Outside of work, you’ll often find Ben on a basketball court, enjoying time with friends and family, or trading ideas with fellow business builders.
